Poverty map

Persistent poverty (353 total, 301 nonmetro) counties: 20 percent or more of residents were poor as measured by each of the 1980, 1990, 2000 censuses, and 2007-11 American Community Survey 5-year average. The persistent poverty counties were released in July 2014. Click to see the county's name and state.
